About the event
Kibi Kaya is honored to announce a Shipibo style Bobinsana Master Plant Dieta & Men’s Retreat at a beautiful, secluded center in northern CA. June 1 - June 12th.
This Bobinsana Dieta & Men’s Retreat will be led by Robin and co-facilitated by Ramiro. Musical support will be provided by Ramiro, Tara Medico, Jens Jarvie and Madhu.
We are deeply excited to enter into this Dieta within the sacred container of a Men’s Retreat. Our goal is to bring the men together to diet the master plant Bobinsana in a safe place of authentic relating, clarity and heart-opened vulnerability.
In the context of a traditional Shipibo Dieta, Bobinsana teaches us to commune with each other from the place of an authentic, present, heart-centered, and embodied masculine.
With its heart-opening, feminine and deeply communal properties, Bobinsana will serve as our plant teacher and as the catalyst to invite us to come together as men in a beautiful, secluded place to diet, pray and to support each other in helping to shift our internal perspectives of self and others and call forth our integrated selves.
In the jungle, and in the Shipibo tradition, Bobinsana is revered for its ability to open the heart to a deeper sense of compassion, strength, and spiritual guidance. For this reason it is often prescribed as the first plant that dieteros study as it shows us how to listen, and how to be vulnerably present with ourselves and, by extension, with others.
Known by its scientific name Calliandra angustifolia, Bobinsana is a shrub that grows up to 6 meters tall in water rich regions. In the jungle, it is frequently prescribed as a body healer and used for treatment pf arthritis, rheumatism, or chronic musculoskeletal pains. It’s also used to help heal those with a history (or family history) of addiction, as it works on cleaning the blood as well as the ancestral blood lines.
On an energetic level, Bobinsana returns us back to our heart and helps us to restore a sense of calm and ease into our system. As a heart-opening plant, Bobinsana invites us into a deep sense of surrender. It helps us to connect with our heartbreak and our grief and to release the stored trauma at the root level. Bobinsana is also a wonderful dream teacher, as it speaks to us through our dreams by enhancing our lucid dreaming that, in turn, supports us in dreaming a new reality into being. We are deeply excited to dream this Dream with you this Summer!
