RETREAT:
Through this work we are continually confronted with our own imperfections and humbled by the awareness of our own divinity.
This medicine is a powerful & sacred tool: it illuminates our inner being and gives us perspective into the many layers of our subconscious. This, in turn, can have positive, life-changing effects on our habitual patterns and beliefs. Beyond the reorientation of these outdated patterns is the gift of building connections that support the continuous unfolding and deepening of our inner knowing.
We are learning that there is no limit to the growth that any one soul can experience in a lifetime. Yet it takes digging deep and a willingness to recognize our conditioned patterns to step into that liminal space of infinite growth.
We have found that the profound nature of this work is best served by an environment where everyone feels comfortable enough to be truly vulnerable with one another.
For this reason, we do a thorough screening process to ensure a safe container for all participants.
We strive for our maloca to remain open to anyone looking for a safe, non-judgemental place to face themselves and bring their best self forward.
INCLUDES:
~ Very intimate group setting, we only have space for thirteen participants

ABOUT KIBI KAYA HEALING + OUR MISSION:
In Shipibo, the language of our indigenous teachers in the Peruvian Amazon, "kibi" means "towards," and "kaya" is "soul" or "spirit."
Our mission at Kibi Kaya Healing is to serve as a bridge for Spirit. For when we come together to sit and pray, we support each other in a journey of inner transformation that takes root at the very core of our being.
Robin (Mananxawe) and Alicia (Ani Kaya) offer ceremonies in the traditional Shipibo way - sitting in the dark - which allows for deep, personal reflection and healing.
Robin is a direct apprentice of Papa Gilberto Mahua, of the Mahua family, widely considered to be one of the most renowned healing lineages of the Ucayali region of Amazonian Peru. Through his extensive training and his many plant dietas, Robin serves as a channel for Spirit and the plants. He chants traditional Shipibo icaros that help to purify the body, release blockages and restore balance.
For this upcoming weekend of prayer, Kibi Kaya is very honored to co-facilitate once again with Maestro Sunny Solwind. Sunny Solwind has been immersed in this path for over 25 years. As a co-founder of Bird Tribe, Sunny has spent decades studying different wisdom traditions and plant medicine lineages. A gifted musician and master ceremonialist, he brings a wealth of experience, wisdom and joy to this weekend, and we are so honored to host him again and to receive his profound teachings. Sunny will be supported by Tara Medico, a master healer and a channel for Spirit whose chants and guitar songs are channeled directly from Source. And to round out this All-Star Team, we are overjoyed to announce that our dear friend and long-time ally, Diana Carr will also be joining us!! Diana is a gifted musican and seasoned ceremonialist; her music lights up every room she prays in, and we are so excited that she'll be with us in March!
WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THIS WEEKEND:
This weekend will be a collaborative effort that brings together Robin and Sunny's vast experience and love for the medicine and this path. Robin and Sunny have worked together extensively in the past. They have trained together in the jungle and have deep appreciation and respect for the different lineages and traditions that they have studied over the past decades. This is the first time since 2019 that they're coming together to join their prayers and allow the medicine of the Eagle and the Condor to fly together in sacred flight.
Robin and Sunny will be supported in ceremony by our primary musican, Tara Medico, as well as our friend and beloved co-facilitator, Diana Carr. We are really excited for this constellation of incredibly talented musicians and ceremonialists. This weekend is a rare and unique opportunity for us all to pray together and share our music and medicine in a small and intimate container with only thirteen participants.
About the Format for this weekend:
In traditional Shipibo ceremonies we sit in the dark for the first half of the night, as the darkness helps us to activate our vision and allows for the spirits of the plants to enter the room and to sing through us.
Robin will open the ceremony with a longer cleaning chants that purify the space and help prepare the space for the individual healing chants. Then Tara, Sunny, Diana will alternate between sharing medicine songs and Icaros (healing chants).
After this work is complete, the facilitators will light the candles and offer drum and guitar songs, and play other instruments. As is customary in our tradition, participants are encouraged to share their own songs or music during this time if they wish.
We will round out each night with a serving of hapé, a type of Brazilian tobacco that is administered through the nose and that helps to ground and integrate the ceremonial experience.
We will round out each night with prayers of gratitude and a delicious, nourishing soup!
We are all greatly looking forward to this weekend of prayer and hope you can join us!
ICHIBIRES IRAKE & MANY BLESSINGS!!
